Serving all markets in Central and Western Virginia, Henry Scholz is a Senior Associate Broker with Hall Associates. A REALTOR since obtaining his Bachelors Degree in Economics in 1983 from Virginia Tech, Henry celebrates over 25 years as a real estate professional.
Service to Community
Roanoke City Planning Commission. Henry was appointed by Roanoke City Council in 2003 to the Roanoke City Planning Commission where he continues to serve today. He was elected Chairman of the Planning Commission in 2007 and again in 2008.
Council of Community Services. In 2006, Henry was elected to the Board of Directors of the Council of Community Services. He currently serves at Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Council. The Council of Community Service is celebrating 50 years of identifying community needs and solutions, connecting community to programs and launching new programs to improve the quality of life. The Council of Community Services provides leadership for organizations and individuals in the area of planning, information and referral services.
Court Appointed Special Advocate. Since 2003, Henry has served the Juvenile and Domestic Court for the 23rd Judicial District as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children.
Historic Virginian Railway Restoration. Since 2008, Henry has volunteered his services for leasing The Virginian Railway Station following a multimillion dollar restoration of this historic train station in downtown Roanoke.
Roanoke Neighborhood Partnership. Henry was honored to serve by appointment of City Council from 1998-2003 on the Roanoke Neighborhood Partnership Steering Committee, a liaison between Roanoke's neighborhood organizations and Roanoke City government. Henry was Secretary of the Neighborhood Partnership Steering Committee until July 2003.
Roanoke Renaissance. From 1997 until 2000 Henry served on the Executive Board of Roanoke Renaissance, a group formed by community leaders to strengthen Roanoke's core neighborhoods.
Rebuilding Together. Henry continues to serve his neighbors by his volunteer work with Rebuilding Together, a yearly program of home remodeling for the disadvantaged, disabled and elderly. |
